6th Annual Highlander One Loft Race The biggest , best and only , one loft race in Wyoming !
450 perches : 300 mile race : Release date 10-6-07 Accepting birds from 2-15-07 thru 5-15-07 Replacements accepted till 6-1-07 Perch fee ~ $75 per bird / 4 or more , $65 per bird All perch fees must be sent with the birds (no exceptions) Entry fee $100 per bird for the main event / optional entry fee $25 per bird for the 180 mile toss. (prizes will be shared equally by first drop birds only , on the 180)(all birds will participate) Entry fees for the main event and optional entry fee for the 180 mile toss are due by 9-1-07 . Entry fees for the main event will be refunded for any birds that do not return from the 180 mile toss . There will be an optional 300 mile race 2 weeks after the main event. $100 dollar fee is required to participate($85 entry / $15 perch). Birds will not be shipped unless the Highlander has received fees. Regular loft updates , inventories , and training results via e-mail Tauris electronic clocking system will be used The race is paid on the drop / all pools and calcuttas are paid thru the hole The Highlander will retain 15% of all pools and calcuttas Birds remain property of breeder , a $50 return shipping fee per box is requested to return the birds All birds are vaccinated , quarantined and medicated upon arrival. Then put on the Chisholm Trail health program . I have used this progran for the past 5 years with great results . I believe this product is a big part of the outstanding health and performance of the Highlander birds.

The "Spirit of Colorado One Loft" Race...
Loft Mgr Phil Calerich. There are many races out there to enter but one that everyone ought to get in on is the Spirit Of Colorado Race flown in Brighton Colorado. Phil runs a top shelf race and keeps you up-dated well. He is a great guy and one thing you can count on with Phil is that when the birds go up for the race they are more than ready for that task at hand.. Get in on this one fast.. Southwest Special ~ Race Rules ~ |
- Entries accepted from March 1st - June 1st, 2007 - Replacements to July 15th. Only 2007 banded birds permitted.
- Entry is $200.00 per bird all of which is paid out in capital prizes. Perch fees are $100.00 perch per bird or $200.00 per bird if you do not wish to participate in the auction following the race. Perch fees non refundable. Get on the reservation list today to reserve you a perch.
- Race birds (the money winners) will be auctioned off after the race on the Internet with 50% going to the breeder, 50% going to Southwest Special. By entering the Race the Breeder agrees to provide a pedigree if his bird wins money. If a pedigree is not provided for that bird, the Auction proceeds (100%) revert to the Southwest Special. Owners can buy back remaining birds for a$50.00 shipping fee. Any birds not bought back remain property of the Southwest Special and offered to the Help-A-Beginner Program.
- All birds on the 1stdrop split the capital prize money, and all pools, Calcutta and birds thereafter will be paid through the trap and cut 10%.
- The races will last for 2 consecutive days or until capital is depleted. If after 2 days, there is capital money left, it will be divided equally among all returned birds.
- Perch fees shall accompany birds, which are to be shipped in approved postal containers. Birds to be vaccinated on arrival. Birds will be put on the Chisholm Trail health program for this race. No birds will be accepted from quarantined areas.
- Entry fees are due prior to the qualifying race on October 13th.
- The races are scheduled for Satuday October 27, 2007, and Saturday November10th but if weather conditions dictate, the race will be held on the best day that weekend. We want the race to showcase your birds and the training that will be put into them, so the weather conditions must be suitable for the race. Release points are 210 miles from Stockton Utah and 310 miles from Plymouth, Utah.

2nd Annual "Spring Break 300"
One Loft race
This is one of the toughest race courses in the US. Normal speeds for this course average 900 to 1200 YPM. Many race days will have 10-20 MPH headwinds. Send your best!!!
--Release date 3/1/08 -From Pocetello, Idaho
--Accepting birds 4/1/07 to 7/01/07— Replacements until 8/1/07
--Entry Fee $150/bird, Perch $85/bird single or $450.00 per 6 bird team (75.00/bird)— 300 perches available
--100% of entry fees will be paid out in prizes
–Single entries are allowed
--The $85 perch fee must be paid for all single entries.
--All perch fees must be sent with the birds (No exceptions)
--Entry fee for the 315 mile main event race is due for all entries that return from the 100 mile toss, Approx. 3 weeks before the main race. No exceptions
–First drop will be paid as group, all birds after that will be paid through the hole.
–We will have an optional race at the 150 mile training. $25.00 to enter. Payment will go to the first three birds through the trap equally.
–Monthly inventories taken. Regular loft updates, inventories, and training results via E-mail.
–Benzing electronic clocking system will be used. Trapping order determined by the clock.
–All pools and calcuttas are paid through the hole.
–The Spring Break will retain 15% of all pools and calcuttas.
–All birds become property of the breeder after the 315 mile race. If the birds are to be shipped back the breeder is responsible for the cost of shipping.
–All birds will be vaccinated for PMV, quarantined and medicated on arrival.
– Chisholm Trail Health Program will be used.
